the birth of GOOD

Hello friend,

As some of you know, I recently have found myself in two separate delicate conditions, which are as follows: A.) Pregnant, and B.) With a lot of time on my hands.

I spend most of this extra time either discovering music on the internet or doing strange research on offbeat topics, because what else would I do? I've already seen every episode of every Law & order that A&E has to offer me, and as tempting as their many episodes of "Cold Case Files" are, they really depress me. I guess I could be one of those infamous "hip moms" who blogs about their baby-safe platform shoes and things, but there's nothing appealing to me about $75 designer maternity wear, nevermind the idea of blogging about it. I even tried teaching myself to knit, but I was so amazingly terrible at it, and besides; no amount of shoddily made baby hats could overcome my love for bizarre and beautiful things.

Because of this love, I've decided to start this blog, which will most likely be just as unpopular and unreadable as many other blogs, except mine will have an emphasis on GOOD things as opposed to the necessarily NEW or HIP, since I barely know what new is anymore and certainly have long since lost touch with what's hip. Good, however, is a universal idea, so! Prepare for goodness, reader I probably sent here myself!

My brain apparently works backwards when it comes to knitting! I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, so I took my work to my mother who informed me I was somehow naturally inclined to double stitch backwards. NOTHING she did could break me of this habit, I just officially have knitting dyslexia.
